Keeping in view, the present situation the Admission Committee Meeting held on 26-06-2020, GU has released the official notification for PG Admission 2020 process. Shortly, Gauhati University is going to launch its on-line Post Graduation (PG) admission form fill up portal the place eligible aspiring and candidates will be capable to fill on-line application form for Post Graduate courses.

Name of university: Gauhati university

Courses Are:

MA , M.Sc and M.Com

Entrance Exam Date:

In this year No Entrance Exam Test in any PG courses for both University Dept and Affiliated colleges of the University for 2020-2021 session.
Admissions will be based totally strictly on the overall performance and eligibility standards of the respective qualifying examination. 

Eligibility for PG admission 2020:

BA/ B.Sc /B.Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with major / honours courses in the concerned subject or BA/B.Sc /B Com. (in 10+2+3 pattern) with a common pass by direction with at least 45% marks in the worried subject.

Reservation:
i)  In Admission into the Traditional Program of Study, 80% of total intake will be reserved for Gauhati University Students. The last 20% will be reserved for different than Gauhati University Students.

ii)  As per Executive Council decision No. WEC-02/2020/13 dated 25.01.2020 Economically Weaker Section (EWS) i.e. 10% from the unreserved class will be reserved into the extraordinary Post Graduate Courses for the University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of the University.

Admission Fees:

All charges relating to admission into special Post Graduate Courses of University Departments and the Affiliated Colleges of Gauhati University for the session 2020-21 has been waived in accordance with notification No.AHE.639/2018/16 dated 10th(10) June, 2020 from Higher Education Department, Govt. of Assam.

Application Fees: 250/-

GU offers Arts, Science, Commerce & Management , Technology, Law Courses under different Dept.
